Rudie Can't Fail News!

July 12, 2001

Welcome all, sorry it's been a while but things have been hectic. To start off with...

  1. The Battle of the Bands was amazzzing!!! Thanks for all 70 of our loyal fans for coming out and showing their support. It was such a unique and changing experience and we thank everyone for being there and making it what it was. We came in a close 2nd to Estella (we won't get into our views on the whole show) but we had fun nonetheless.

  2. Our other shows have been going great, we've been having fun performing and having a lot of different kids hear our music.

  3. We will be recording before summer ends!!! Yes, that is right. Rudie Can't Fail will record another 4-song CD which will probably contain "Waiting," "Daddy's Little Girl," "Loose Chicks Have Tattoos," and another song that is in the works.

  4. Come to the Brick VFW July 13th. We will have at least one new song for all you RCF fans (yes, both of you). It's a good cause and just recently it's hit close to home.

  5. We're looking for horn players come fall. Preferably trumpet, trombone, and tenor sax. No, we are not losing the old guys but they are going far away for college and we will need people who can be reliable and be able to practice at least once a month (definately more though). Rudie Can't Fail will continue into the college years.

  6. We have t-shirts check out the merch section!!!

Alright, I know I sent out that mass email about the Hooligans show and believe me that's still important and you should buy tickets to it but we've got something lined up which is a lot more important. We've been entered in a Club Krome Battle of the Bands. It's 8-10 bands battling out to see who will win the $500 prize and a guaranteed spot on future Club Krome shows. The most important part is a lot of people are going to be there who put on shows and are looking for up and coming bands and we need to impress the shit out of them. So please please please buy tickets to this show if any!!! They're 8 bucks and we'll give you a ride if you can't drive or are too much of a pussy to drive on the parkway. The date is Friday, June 29th and it begins at 6pm. Please for the life of god come and bring everyone you know. We're being judged on:

1) how many kids come to see us
2) crowd participation
3) overall performance of band
4) talent and shit.

If you have a heart inside that body of yours please email me back telling me you want many atickets to come see us rock out. So BUY TICKETS PLEASE!!!

Alright... Rudie Can't Fail is playing a show June 30th at Hooligans with Clyde, Nothing Yet, Gibbler, 37 Slurp, Gerber, Flat Earth Society, and others. We will go on sometime between noon and 4, we'll find out exactly what time we're going on soon. If you could please help us out (b/c we have 50 tickets to sell) and purchase a ticket it'd be much appreciated. Tickets are $10 (sorry we have no control of the price). If you have friends that might want to go, get them b/c we want as many people as possible so it's a fun time had by all. If people need rides we'll probably be able to arrange something so email me. Thanks.
Just email me and let me know you want a ticket.

The title of the demo has been changed to "Easy Listening for Easy Women." The order of the songs is as follows:

1) The Ballad of Marty McFly
2) Keep On Trying
3) Innocent
4) Idiosyncratic Love Routine

2) The demo is now available, there will be enough copies for everyone so email Matt at Hellfishw2@aol.com. Tell him your name and that you want a copy. If we like you or you live in the Ocean County area we will deliver it to your house, free of charge. Or we can mail it you but it may cost a tad extra but it'll be worth it.

3) The demo sounds amazing, listen to the song we have. Tell your friends.
Plus the cover is brilliant (...if Carlton ever finishes it).

4) Intense practice schedule now that school is winding down to a close. We
will have pics of the new band when we get to it fuck-o!

5) Shows added, check out the show page. We need people to buy tickets to
the show at Hooligans in Long Branch. Can't find a ride? We'll give you one! Please email Matt and let him know you'd like to get in on the action.
